Drip Zilla · Hand-painted custom art

Art without limits.

Custom artwork crafted across canvas, fashion, sneakers, walls and spaces. Painted by hand, built around your idea.

Custom pieces from R1,500 · Murals & large walls by quote

If it holds paint, it can hold a story.

Drip Zilla is the studio of Dripziler, a painter who works on whatever surface the idea needs: a pair of Air Force 1s, the leg of your favourite jeans, a stretched canvas, or the front gate of a whole neighbourhood.

Portrait of the artist behind Drip Zilla
Dripziler · Founder of Drip Zilla

The hand behind the drip.

Dripziler is a Shayandima-based painter whose work moves between canvas, streetwear and full-scale walls without changing its voice.

Where it started

[ARTIST ORIGIN STORY: where you grew up, the first thing you remember drawing or painting, and who or what pulled you toward art.]

When it became more than a hobby

[THE TURNING POINT: the first paid piece, the first pair of sneakers someone asked you to paint, or the moment you decided to take it seriously.]

Finding the style

[HOW YOUR STYLE DEVELOPED: graffiti lettering, drips, bold outlines and electric colour. Where those influences came from and the challenges you worked through to get here.]

Milestones

  • [YEAR] [IMPORTANT MILESTONE, e.g. first commissioned mural]
  • [YEAR] [IMPORTANT MILESTONE, e.g. first sneaker collection]
  • [YEAR] [IMPORTANT MILESTONE, e.g. exhibition, collaboration or community project]

[ARTISTIC PHILOSOPHY: one or two sentences on why you create and what your work represents.]

What's next

[FUTURE DIRECTION: the collections, walls, collaborations or spaces you want your art to reach next.]

Process, stories and work in progress.

Lightning sneaker held above a pool, showing the painted side panel

Process · Sneakers

Painting lightning

How a pair of black Air Force 1s becomes a storm: surface prep, the blue fade, then strike lines built branch by branch.

Read the story

Lightning only works when it feels unplanned, so the challenge is control that does not look controlled. The blue goes down first as a soft glow, then the white lines are drawn over it so the light appears to sit inside the leather.

[ADD YOUR PROCESS NOTES: preparation, paints used, how long a pair takes, and the step most people don't see.]

Detail of mural bubble letters and paint drips

Project · Mural

A gate that says welcome

Bubble letters, drips and floating spheres on a sliding gate in Vhuawelo, turning a plain entrance into a greeting.

Read the story

Lettering at this scale is a different discipline from a sneaker panel. Each letter has to read from across the street and still reward someone standing right next to it, which is where the highlights, pink shadows and individual drips come in.

[ADD PROJECT DETAILS: who commissioned it, how long it took, the weather you painted through, and how the community reacted.]

Bubble lettering painted down a denim leg

Fashion · Lettering

Your name, down the leg

Why denim takes paint differently from leather, and how vertical lettering is planned so it flows when the jeans are worn.

Read the story

Fabric moves, folds and gets washed, so lettering on denim has to be planned around the seam and the way the leg hangs. Stacking letters vertically keeps the name readable whether the jeans are on a hanger or in motion.

[ADD YOUR NOTES: fabric paints you trust, washing instructions you give customers, and favourite requests so far.]
